Merriewold News & Horses For Sale

On September first, the 2nd annual Merriewold Morgans Photo Contest was officially closed.  We received 49 amazing photos and the Judges will have their work cut out for them!  During the month of September the judges will select the 3 winners.  These contestants will then be notified and receive their prizes.  The public announcement will come in the MWM Fall news letter during the month of October.

We have been busy at our new Horse ranch! 
Phase I, the equestrian buildings, is nearly finished. 
Phase II, the two homes, landscaping and site work is well underway.

The first photo shows the front of the stable with the stone work and stucco. 
The second photo is taken from the west side of the hay barn
showing the grooms residence and the large doors to the equipment area. 
The hay storage area is on the east side.

We just weaned Mia (Rosevale Leggo x ABL Morning Star)
and brought 2 year old Kandie (Rosevale Leggo x Majesty My Fair Lady)
over from Rancho Arroyo Grande to be her new pasture mate.

This will be Kandie’s second weaning duty…she helped us wean Latte last year.
Now Latte and Legacy are pasture mates.
We knew that Kandie was sweet enough to do this job again.

‘Mick’

Jackie Brittain’s friend and canine companion Mick passed away recently.
Mick was a Catahoula Leopard Hound born in Florida and traveled to California with Jackie.
He was 13 years old and will be greatly missed.

“Mick was the best guardian and companion a person could have”
