Josie( MEMC Tequila Cuervo x Ringbrook Renaissance) is progressing with her training.
She has just had a huge growth spurt and so Martha and trainer
Cee Cee Goivanetti are letting Josie settle into her new size.
Here is how Martha puts it…
Josie is getting slow easy rides about 3 times a week for the fall and winter.  She is doing fine.
Managing the training and care of a 3 year old is a new experience for me.
I am thoroughly enjoying it.

We just weaned Mia (Rosevale Leggo x ABL Morning Star)
and brought 2 year old Kandie (Rosevale Leggo x Majesty My Fair Lady)
over from Rancho Arroyo Grande to be her new pasture mate.

This will be Kandie’s second weaning duty…she helped us wean Latte last year.
Now Latte and Legacy are pasture mates.
We knew that Kandie was sweet enough to do this job again.

The first annual MWM Photo Contest closed on September first. 
Now it’s time for the judges to go to work to pick the winners!
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced in our fall newsletter
and here in the latest news section.

Merriewold Hanah (Lyonhil Quasar x Moonset’s Reflection)
won first place in 3 of the 4 jumping classes at the
Santa Barbara Morgan Medallion Regional Show.
Trained by Earl McFall of Dragonfire Farm…Hanah Loves to jump!

Also competing in the hunter division Hanah and Earl took second place
in the Hunter Pleasure limit class and a third in the Championship.
Both were very large competitive classes.

Merriewold Galaxie and new owner Shirley Christian are having fun on trails and driving.

Their trail ride was with The Morgan Working Western Group at Fort Robinson, Nebraska

Equinox Jazzman (Equinox Ben Adam x Equinox Lulaby x Courage of Equinox)
has been my best horse, partner and friend for 15 years.
Now at the age of 20 we want to show him off again.
He has a wonderful attitude, is gorgeous and still has all the “moves”.
He helps us with the training of the youngsters, loves trail rides,
and occasionally will do a dressage test in our arena.
